CONTEST GUIDELINES

Objective
Allow one lucky couple to win an unforgettable wedding at Velas Vallarta, including a unique experience with a ceremony, reception, and one night of accommodation for the couple.

Contest dates
• Registration: January 13th to February 9th, 2025.
• Judging: February 10th to February 13th, 2025.
• Winner announcement: February 14th, 2025.

How to participate

1. Register:
• Complete the Velas Vallarta website form, providing your details and your partner's.
• Write a short love story (up to 300 words) explaining why you want to get married at Velas Vallarta.

2. Follow us
• Follow our official Instagram and Facebook accounts, @velasvallarta and @velasweddings, and stay updated with the latest news.

3. Share on social media
• Post a photo with your partner on Instagram.
• Share your love story in the caption (up to 150 words).
• Use the hashtag #VelasVallartaWedding and tag @velasvallarta and @velasweddings.

4. Invite votes
• The participation period is from January 13th to February 3rd, 2025.
• Velas Vallarta will select 10 finalists and post their photos on Instagram on February 4th, 2025.
• Users can vote for their favorite couple from February 4th to February 9th, 2025.
• Posts with the most "Likes" will be prioritized for final consideration.

5. Winner selection
• From February 10th to February 13th, 2025, a Velas Vallarta committee will select the winning couple based on the highest engagement and the best love story.
• The winner will be announced on February 14th, 2025, on the official @velasvallarta and @velasweddings social media pages.

A wedding at Velas Vallarta for up to 20 guests, including:
• Seaside ceremony (30 minutes)
• Decoración básica
          • Basic décor
          • Gazebo with white draping
          • Chairs with white covers

• Cocktail hour (30 minutes)
          • Cocktail tables
          • Chef-selected canapés (5 varieties, 5 pieces per guest).

• Reception (3 hours) 
          • House set up for dinner      
          • Three-course menu
          • One-tier wedding cake
          • Four-hour international open bar
          • Servers and bartender

• Accommodation
          • One-night stay for the couple 
          • Including a unique wedding amenity 

The prize

Eligibility requirements

• Participants must be 18 or older.
• Weddings must be scheduled between March and November 2025.
• Participants must follow @velasvallarta and @velasweddings on Instagram and Facebook.

General conditions

• Only one entry per couple will be accepted.
• The prize does not include flights or additional accommodation for guests. Group accommodation contracts with preferred rates are required for guest stays.
• Velas Vallarta reserves the right to modify or cancel the contest in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
• By entering, participants grant Velas Vallarta permission to use their content for promotional purposes.
• Open to LGBT+ weddings.

The contest “Win a dream wedding at Puerto Vallarta” is organized by Velas Vallarta.

Who can enter
The contest is open to United States, Canada, and Mexico residents. Participants must comply with all terms outlined herein.

Participation requirements
Each couple may submit only one entry. Duplicate entries will only be considered for the first submission. Love stories must be original and written by the participants. Plagiarized or copyrighted content will result in disqualification.

Social media posting
One photo per couple is allowed. The photo must be owned exclusively by the participants and not previously used in other contests or campaigns. Posts must remain public throughout the contest period.

Disqualification
Velas Vallarta reserves the right to disqualify any entry that fails to meet the contest terms.

Premio
The prize is a wedding at Velas Vallarta for up to 20 guests, including the ceremony, decorations, cocktail hour, buffet banquet, and one night’s accommodation for the couple. The wedding must take place between March and November 2025.

The contest winner must sign a wedding contract provided by Velas Vallarta detailing the specific terms and conditions of the event. This contract formalizes the prize's delivery and scheduling.

The contract must be signed within 5 days of the winner's announcement.

The wedding date and terms are subject to venue availability and the conditions outlined in the contract. The winner is solely responsible for any additional expenses not included in the prize.

If this requirement is not met, Velas Vallarta reserves the right to reassign the prize to another participant per the contest rules.

Prize validity
The prize is not valid on high-demand dates like Easter, Christmas, or other special holidays.

Contestant responsibility
Contestants guarantee that all information provided is their own and agree to indemnify Velas Vallarta against any claims from third parties regarding the submitted material.

Winner notification
The winning couple will be announced on February 14th, 2025, via Velas Vallarta and Velas Weddings’ Facebook and Instagram accounts. The winning couple must send a direct message to our social media accounts or contact the email mtancs@velasresorts.com to claim their prize. If they cannot be contacted after 3 attempts, an alternate winner may be selected from the finalists.

Prize forfeiture
Velas Vallarta will not be held responsible if the winner cannot claim their prize due to circumstances beyond their control or chooses to forfeit the prize.

General conditions
By participating, contestants accept the official contest rules and agree to Velas Vallarta's final and binding decisions.
